Enigma is a manga about a Japanese high schooler named Haiba Sumio who has the power to predict the future—during narcoleptic episodes, he gets a premonition during which he unconsciously draws and captions a small sketch of an event that will happen in the future in his journal he calls the Dream Diary.
“What songs do you listen to while you write?”
My first thought when asked this question was, “You’re supposed to do that?”
Maybe it’s the bit of ADD in me, but I get distracted if I listen to music while I write. Okay, let me clarify. I can’t listen to songs that have words in them while I write. I end up either writing the lyrics of the song or singing the song out loud and losing my train of thought unless the song has no words to begin with.
I attended the Indiana Faith and Writing Conference (IFWC) on October 31st. I had never been to a writers’ conference before so, like when you do anything for the first time, you make a few mistakes. Here are just a couple things I would do differently next time I go to a writers’ conference.
